For those who have PV installations and have not cleaned them in recent years, a glance at their annual income is enough to convince themselves of the necessity of cleaning the PV panels. It does not matter how clean the environmental conditions are in the area of ​​the PV installation. Rainwater is soft, but never clean. When a surface is exposed to rain, residues always remain. Every time it rains, these residues increase with the possible result of a particularly noticeable reduction in financial earnings. Bird droppings or plant pollen are also very persistent pollutants. In the countryside, especially in areas near livestock farms, it is often observed that a resistant coating of pollutants forms due to ammonia gases, pollen and suspended dust. The slope of the surface of the PV panels also plays a very important role. Surfaces with a small slope require more cleaning. The loss of generated power due to pollutants is often underestimated. Based on studies from real tests, the percentage of losses can range between 5-25% or even higher especially when local conditions are particularly unfavorable. Therefore, cleaning is always necessary, but its frequency is linked to the local concentration of pollutants.

Brief description of the PURAQLEEN water treatment system
The water passes through a bottle containing a layer of ion exchange resin. The mineral salts, mainly calcium, magnesium and potassium, remain in the bottle and the clean water is led out to the spray pump.
With the PURAQLEEN water treatment system we achieve the on-site conversion of mains water into “clean” or “deionised” or “desalinated” water. Desalinated or otherwise deionised water, due to its natural characteristics, has a very high cleaning capacity.

Nature always seeks to balance the temperature, pressure and concentration in each liquid.

The filtered water, at the moment it leaves the bottle with the resin, has lost its aforementioned balance, as a result of which it has a tendency to return to its previous balance, which was its mixing with foreign particles. In this way it is transformed into a “detergent” which removes even strong pollutants such as bird droppings. However, the cleaning quality of demineralized water has its limits.
Oils, grease or specific very persistent contaminants also require the use of a chemical detergent. (In this case, the chemical is automatically pumped with the help of an injector and mixed with the mains water. After using the detergent, the system returns to using deionized water, which in turn removes any residue.)

Deionized water has a very high wetting quality, it is sprayed evenly everywhere.
But most importantly, it dries without leaving spots or streaks even when washing in full sunlight.

With the “QLEEN” method, additional care with the use of conventional rubber squeegees or cleaning leathers is no longer necessary.
Cleaning with desalinated water is completely safe because we do not use chemicals or other dangerous substances. It also does not damage the cleaning surfaces.
